Broussard had two birdies on the front nine and closed with three for the day. Led by junior Anthony Broussard’s 1-under par 71, the Mean Green is in 6 th place. “There is still a lot of golf left to be played and we still have a chance if we go out and compete like I know we are capable of”. “We had a couple of good scores out there but there is still a lot of room for improvement,” said North Texas head coach Jim Bob Jackson.

Washington State leads the field of 14 teams after an opening round of 5-under par 283.
